The demand for Merrily We Roll Along tickets on Monday, October 3 was extremely high and tickets are now sold out. The number of people trying to see this production was far greater than the limited run in our 199-seat theatre and we know many people were not able to purchase tickets.

Access is important to us and we’ve done everything we can to prepare for the enthusiastic demand for tickets. We have held an allocation of tickets at every performance for our CheapTix Lottery and we’ll have a cancellation line at every performance. You’ll find full details below for those programs plus information about becoming a Repeat Defender.

If you have questions, our staff is here to help! Feel free to call the NYTW Box Office at 212-460-5475 or email us at tickets@nytw.org. We appreciate your patience and kindness as you interact with our staff and we request that you read and respect our Core Values.

All tickets will be held at box office for pickup on the day of your performance and a photo ID is required for pickup. Further information about ticket pickup and COVID policies will be released closer to the start of performances.

Additional ways to get tickets

For Merrily We Roll Along, we will offer a limited number of tickets to all regular performances for $25 via a CHEAPTIX Digital Lottery in partnership with TodayTix. The lottery is offered in lieu of our standard CHEAPTIX and CHEAPTIX RUSH programs to ensure that tickets are guaranteed at every performance.

TodayTix allows you to enter the CHEAPTIX Digital Lottery via the app, available in the App Store or Google Play Store. For all regular performances beginning November 23, the entry period will begin each performance day at 12:01 AM, and continue until winners are notified via push notification 3-4 hours before the selected performance begins. Entrants may request 1 or 2 tickets, and entry in the digital Lottery is free and open to all.

Winners can pick up their tickets at the NYTW box office beginning one hour prior to curtain with photo ID matching the entry name. Lottery tickets and seat locations are subject to availability and are non-transferable.

We will institute a cancellation line at all public performances of Merrily We Roll Along, beginning two hours prior to curtain. Cancellation tickets are full price ($145), subject to availability, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be advised that the cancellation line is outside the theatre, so we recommend you bundle up in the cold months!

On Sunday, January 22nd at 2pm, New York Theatre Workshop will host a special closing performance of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. Each ticket sold will include a tax-deductible donation that will support NYTW’s 2022/23 education and engagement programming, which provides thousands of students, teens, artists, and local residents access to some of the most exciting theatre artists of our time.

Tickets for this performance are priced at two levels:

  • $1,500 – includes one ticket to the final performance
  • $2,500 – includes one ticket to the final performance plus an exclusive closing show after-party

The initiatives supported by this special performance include Learning Workshop, a multi-disciplinary in-school arts education program serving 2,000 students each year; CheapTix, a subsidized ticket program that provides access to students, seniors, artists and members of our local community; Mind the Gap, a free program that brings together teens and elders to share their stories and write plays inspired by each other’s lives; and NYTW’s 2050 Fellowships, which offer professional development and training opportunities to both early-career artists and arts administrators.

Tickets for the closing performance can be purchased online, or by calling 212-460-5475.
