1. Do you still offer internships?

The 2050 Administrative Fellowship replaces our current internship program, expanding into a season-long paid fellowship. This change gives you more time to gain extensive experience in what it takes to produce theatre in New York. If you’re seeking a thorough, hands-on learning experience and are available for a year-long, 30-hour-per-week commitment from July 2017 to June 2018, we encourage you to apply


2. How much does it pay?

2050 Administrative Fellows are paid NYC minimum wage.


3.What makes a competitive applicant?

Young professionals who are underrepresented in the field of theatre administration! We’re seeking individuals with a unique cultural perspective inclusive of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, class, physical ability and sexual orientation who are interested in working in an administrative capacity at a not-for-profit arts organization. You should address your perspectives in your personal statement and tell us why you’d like to join the NYTW team.


4. Can I apply to multiple departments?

Absolutely! Every applicant is encouraged to apply to two departments. Please be sure to indicate on your application form and in your personal statement which two departments you wish to be considered for.


5. What is the application process?

Combine your resume or CV that includes your administrative and theatre experience, a personal statement (max 750 words) and two letters of recommendation into one PDF. (Hint: PDF generators are available online for free to help you combine the files!) With that, you’re ready to fill out the online application! Applications are due by April 1 at 5pm EST. After that, they’ll be reviewed by a selection committee and we’ll schedule interviews with the top applicants in mid-April.
