Read Synopsis

A Streetcar Named Desire brings Blanche to Elysian Fields (a chaotic, noisy place, described by Virgil as the part of Hades where the blessed live in eternal happiness) in New Orleans. This transgression has to end in disaster. It awakens the destructive forces in Stanley and Blanche. By Blanche’s appearance, Stanley is threatened. Blanche’s invasion makes him lose Stella, their marriage becomes sour.
